  21.   Hi all, I am trying ot create teh table object that is decribed in the 
  22. January issue of Lightwave Pro.

  24.   For some reason I keep surface normals that point in the wrong 
  25. direction after i merge the 100 polygons of the upper disc. I do get the 
  26. desired one large polygon that is supposed to make the top of the 
  27. table..BUT, the direction of the surface normal in the TOP VIEW window 
  28. points directly to the left!! :( Usually, surface normals only show up as 
  29. a dot in the TOP view. Both other views have normal looking surface 
  30. indicators..How can I fix this?? What causes this??

  32. This is what I did:

  34. 1) Selected all upper polygons using the volume include..
  35. 2) hid theunslected polygons
  36. 3) used merge on the 100 polygons..result was one polygon
  37. 4) unhid all hid polygons...

  39.   any ideas??? I use version 3.5 with OS 3.1
